Next President of India - 10 Possible Candidates
President Dr. Pranab Mukherjee is the 13th President of India.
He was elected on 22 July 2012 and was sworn on 25 July 2012 (three
days later).
President Mukherjee’s term ends on 25 July, 2017. Before 25 July, 2017,
Presidential elections will be held in the country. President Mukherjee may also run for a second term but this looks
highly unlikely.
Here is our list of 10 possible candidate for the designation of President of India based on polls conducted on various social platforms.
1. L.K. Advani (NDA): Advani’s first entry into alliance politics was in the municipal affairs of Delhi. He served in BJP as Party
President, Minister of information
and broadcasting, founding member of BJP, Home minister, BJP’s Prime Ministerial
candidate for the general elections, ending on 16 May 2009.2. Sushma Swaraj (NDA): Former NCC Army cadet and Current External Affair Minister in NDA Govt. led by PM Modi. She is very dedicated to work and always gives her best.
3. Pranab Mukherjee (UPA): Present President of India and Former Finance Minster under UPA govt.
4. Mohan Bhagvat (NDA): RSS Chief and Hindu leader.
5. Draupadi Murmu (NDA): Present governor of Indian state Jharkhand.
6.Sumitra Mahajan (NDA): Present Loksabha Speaker and 6th time served as Member of Parliament.
7.Justice P Sathasivam (NDA): Former Chief Justice of India and now Kerala governor.
8. Gopal Krishna Gandhi (UPA): Grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and member of Indian National Congress.
9. Sharad Yadav (UPA) : Party President of JDU ( Janta Dal United)
10. Sharad Pawar (UPA) : Party President of NCP (National congress party).
